Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your account on Svayam (svayam.yoga and the Svayam app for phone, TV and watch) or Svayam Fit (svayam.fit and the Svayam Fit app). Both are products of BNS Data.

From the app or the website

1. Sign in with the account you want deleted.
2. Open Profile & Preferences.
3. Scroll to the end and choose Request account deletion, then confirm.

You will get an email straight away confirming that we have the request.

If you can no longer sign in

Email privacy@svayam.yoga from the address the account is registered to, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm the request from that address before acting on it, so that nobody else can delete your account.

What we delete

• Your account: name, email address and sign-in details.
• Your practice profile, goals and anything you told us about injuries or limitations.
• Your practice history, progress, schedules and course enrolments.
• Posture and movement assessment results, including the skeleton landmark data derived from them.
• Any remaining recordings and their encryption keys.
• The TVs and watches signed in to your account, which are signed out.

What we keep, and for how long

• Payment records - invoices and transaction records, for as long as tax and financial record-keeping law requires, which is typically seven years.
• Messages you sent to support - kept only as long as needed to show that your request was received and completed.

How long it takes

We complete deletion within 30 days of the request and email you when it is done. Deletion cannot be undone. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first so that you are not charged again.
